Ethical Values
1. Integrity and Transparency
Our members provide open, accurate, and complete information to their investors, business partners, and consumers. All statements and reports are prepared truthfully and in accordance with reality. Every relationship is built on the foundation of trust and honesty.
2. Fairness and Equality
Fairness is essential in all franchise relationships. Balanced and equitable relationships that respect the interests of both franchisors and franchisees are encouraged. Members maintain equal distance from all public institutions, administrative bodies, and non-governmental organizations, without any expectation of personal gain. Zero tolerance is applied to all forms of discrimination.
3. Compliance with Laws and International Standards
All members commit to complying with the laws and sectoral regulations of the countries in which they operate. International franchising standards to which they are subject are also observed.
4. Professionalism and Competence
Members act with knowledge, experience, and expertise within their sectors, avoiding unprofessional practices. The granting of franchises through untrained or unqualified representatives is prohibited.
5. Sustainability and Social Responsibility
Franchise systems are developed with a focus on long-term sustainability. Efficient use of national resources, environmental awareness, local development, women’s entrepreneurship, and youth employment are all valued as key elements of social contribution.
6. Confidentiality and Data Security
All personal and commercial information of the parties is protected within ethical boundaries. No data is shared with third parties without permission.
7. Good Faith and Dispute Resolution
Parties are encouraged to resolve disagreements in good faith, through dialogue, and preferably with the mediation of the UFRAD Ethics Commission.
8. Brand and System Protection
Franchisors must act in a manner that protects brand reputation and the integrity of the business model; franchisees, in turn, must remain loyal to the brand’s rules and standards.
9. Education and Knowledge Sharing
Our members contribute to building a shared culture of quality and ethical awareness in the sector by exchanging knowledge and experience with one another.
10. Ethical Supervision and Accountability
UFRAD members pledge to adhere to these ethical values. When necessary, UFRAD reserves the right to evaluate unethical conduct and apply appropriate sanctions.
This UFRAD Ethics Declaration was adopted by the Board of Directors at its meeting held on October 15, 2025.
