WFC MEMBER COUNTRIES GATHERED IN JAKARTA
The second day of the World Franchise Council (WFC) meetings was held in Jakarta with the participation of 24 countries directly, and a total of 42 full members including proxies. Over the course of two days, strategic topics shaping the global franchising ecosystem were discussed in depth.
The meetings addressed evaluations of the 2025 World Franchise Day, preparations for the 2026 elections, and strategies aimed at strengthening international cooperation. Member countries shared their visions for the future of the franchising sector, while emphasizing the strategic role national franchise associations play in supporting the global growth of brands.
During the roundtable sessions, countries exchanged ideas on common challenges and opportunities, focusing on development and solution-oriented approaches. Additionally, discussions were held on how World Franchise Day could be celebrated more effectively and how WFC could support member countries’ brands in their international expansion efforts.
Representing Türkiye, UFRAD Board Member Gürkan Donat participated in the meetings and contributed to the discussions. UFRAD continues its efforts on global platforms to strengthen the presence of Turkish brands in international markets.
