JUNE 11 MARKS THE FIRST CELEBRATION OF WORLD FRANCHISE DAY
To emphasize the global importance of the franchise sector and to promote entrepreneurship, June 11 was celebrated worldwide for the first time as World Franchise Day. This meaningful day highlighted the contributions of the franchise system to economies, its role within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and its global growth potential.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of the Turkish Franchise Association (UFRAD), emphasized the sector’s critical importance for the Turkish economy, stating, “The franchise system is the locomotive of sustainable growth, employment, and innovative entrepreneurship. On this special day, celebrated for the first time worldwide, we invite all entrepreneurs, investors, and brands to grow together within the franchise ecosystem.”
The franchise sector provides employment opportunities for thousands of businesses in Türkiye, while also significantly contributing to the rise of Turkish brands on the international stage. As UFRAD, we aim to increase the global competitiveness of the Turkish franchise system through organized events, training, and international collaborations that support the sector’s sustainable development.
During this year’s first-ever global World Franchise Day celebration, sector stakeholders shared joint messages and projected Türkiye’s voice on international platforms. The events led by UFRAD once again underscored the economic value added by the franchise system.
On June 11, special posts and events aimed at sector stakeholders helped raise broad awareness about the importance of the franchise ecosystem. As developments, innovations, and success stories within the franchise sector are shared in Türkiye and worldwide, we remain committed to building a stronger franchise future together with business leaders.
International posts and content shared during World Franchise Day were specially compiled by UFRAD and presented to the sector. All these efforts are regarded as important steps toward increasing the added value that the franchise sector brings to the Turkish economy and employment.
