LEADERS PANEL EXPLORES THE FUTURE OF BRAND BUILDING IN TÜRKİYE

The Leaders Panel titled “Building a Brand in Türkiye: Growth, Franchising and the Future of Retail,” held as part of the UFRAD Brand Summit and Franchise Awards 2026, brought together leading industry figures on the same stage.

Held on September 10, 2026, at Taşyapı Şişli, the panel was moderated by Özgen Kart, UFRAD Board Member. Speakers included Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of UFRAD; Sinan Öncel, President of the United Brands Association; and Nuri Şapkacı, President of the Council of Shopping Centers.

The discussion focused on the current state of brand building in Türkiye, the role of franchise systems in driving growth, and the changes shaping the future of retail. Drawing on their respective sectors’ experience, the speakers shared their views on opportunities for brand development and future growth.

At the conclusion of the panel, the speakers were presented with the UFRAD Industry Contribution Award in recognition of their contributions to the franchising and retail sectors.
