OUR BRANDS SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES AT “FRANCHISING IN GERMANY” PANEL

On the second day of Franchise Expo Germany 2024, Ali İhsan Tuğ, General Manager of Armiya Teknoloji, and Ahmet Güner, Chairman of Çiğköftem, represented UFRAD members as speakers in a panel titled “Franchising in Germany.” These seasoned industry leaders provided attendees with an overview of Germany’s franchise market and offered valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges their brands face in international markets.

The panel included an in-depth discussion on Germany’s potential in the franchise sector, how Turkish brands can succeed in this market, and the strategies brands should follow when expanding internationally. Ali İhsan Tuğ highlighted Armiya Teknoloji’s expansion process, focusing on how technology-driven and innovative franchise systems can meet demand in Germany. Meanwhile, Ahmet Güner shared Çiğköftem’s success story in Germany, illustrating how to adapt the franchise model for local success.

Both panelists shared experiences on navigating cultural differences in Germany, adapting to the local market, and strategies for effective franchise growth in this competitive environment. They emphasized the importance of understanding local business culture for Turkish brands to succeed in large markets like Germany. Additionally, they discussed the need for franchisors to establish training programs, support mechanisms, and ways to meet franchisees’ expectations in order to achieve sustainable growth.
